Is Indian food healthy? You cannot tell from the cuisine or a dish name alone. Ingredients, preparation, portion size and the rest of your diet all matter. Here is a practical look at choices on Inder’n’s menu, without pretending that one curry is the right choice for everyone.
Look at the whole meal
Denmark's official dietary guidelines recommend a varied diet with plenty of plant foods, including pulses. These are general recommendations, not a nutritional assessment of our meals. You can read the Danish Food Authority's guidance and ask our kitchen about the ingredients in a dish you are considering.
Three different choices from the menu
- Chana Masala is a chickpea curry marked vegan on our current menu. If you have strict dietary requirements or allergies, confirm the ingredients and preparation before ordering.
- Daal Makhani is a vegetarian lentil dish. It is not presented as vegan on the menu.
- Palak Party is a spinach-based dish with a choice of protein. Choose paneer for the vegetarian version, and check ingredients with the kitchen if needed.
There are also meat dishes, rice, naan and sides. We do not have verified calorie, protein, fibre or salt figures for the finished portions, so we do not rank our dishes as the “healthiest” or “lightest”.

Common questions
Are all Indian dishes nutritionally alike?
No. Recipes and portion sizes vary. We do not have complete nutritional declarations for our finished dishes, so ask about ingredients and choose according to your needs.
Is Daal Makhani vegan?
It is listed as vegetarian, not vegan. Please ask the kitchen if avoiding dairy or other ingredients is important for you.
Which dish is marked vegan?
Chana Masala is marked vegan on the current menu. Confirm ingredients and preparation with the kitchen if that distinction is essential for you.
