Indian weddings carry expectations the average Danish caterer rarely meets: enough food for 100 plus guests, dishes that hold heat for hours, separate vegetarian and halal stations, and flavours that match what your family ate at home. We are a family-run North Indian kitchen at Sirgræsvej 4 in Kastrup, 3 km from Copenhagen Airport, and weddings are how we grew up cooking.
Every dish on our wedding menu is cooked from scratch the morning of your event. We grind whole garam masala in-house, slow-simmer dal makhani for hours, and finish biryani in sealed handi pots so the steam carries the saffron. Butter chicken uses tomatoes reduced for over an hour, not pre-made paste. Naan bakes fresh in our tandoor and travels in insulated covers so it arrives soft.
An Indian wedding is rarely a single meal. We cater the full sequence. Sangeet evenings get welcome chaat platters and lighter mains. Mehendi mornings lean vegetarian with paneer, channa and aloo gobi. The reception buffet is the centrepiece: three to four mains, biryani, dal, paneer, fresh naan and dessert. Many families also order a brunch the morning after for out-of-town guests.
All our chicken and lamb is halal-sourced. We build fully halal menus, fully vegetarian menus, mixed menus with clearly separated and labelled dishes, and accommodate vegan, gluten-free and Jain-style preparations on request. Tell us the dietary mix at booking and we map the menu accordingly. Every dish is labelled with allergens at the buffet so guests can see what is in front of them.
We deliver to wedding venues in Kastrup, Tårnby, Amager and most of greater Copenhagen, including airport hotels around CPH and Kastrup S-togsstationen. Delivery is included in package pricing within 15 km of Sirgræsvej 4. We arrive 60 to 90 minutes before serving, set up insulated warming trays, and hand the buffet over to your venue staff or coordinator. For out-of-town guests staying at airport hotels, regular takeaway is also available daily from 16:00 to 20:30 directly from us.
Book at least 4 to 6 weeks ahead for 50 to 100 guests, and 8 weeks for events over 100 guests. Saturdays from May to September fill up first. Call 50 29 13 71 between 16:00 and 20:30, or send your guest count, dietary mix, venue address and event date through the contact form. We respond within one working day with a written quote and menu draft. A 30 percent deposit confirms the booking.
Wedding catering at Inder'n starts at 150 DKK per guest, with a minimum of 20 people. The base buffet includes two mains, rice, naan, chutneys and salad. Larger menus with starters, three to four mains, dessert and live tandoor service typically run 200 to 280 DKK per guest. Final pricing depends on guest count, menu tier and delivery distance.
Yes. We cover the full Indian wedding sequence: sangeet welcome platters and chaat, mehendi vegetarian-forward menus, the main reception buffet, and post-wedding brunch. We can deliver across multiple days at a single venue in Kastrup, Tårnby, Amager or central Copenhagen.
