Who we cook for
Diwali Party Catering for Offices, Associations and Homes
Office Diwali celebrations
Copenhagen workplaces mark Diwali with a shared lunch or an after-work buffet for colleagues. We deliver a hot North Indian buffet to offices in Kastrup, Tårnby, Ørestad and central Copenhagen, and finance receives one invoice with VAT, with EAN billing supported. See how our office group orders work.
Community and association evenings
Cultural associations and student groups hosting a Diwali evening for 20 to 200 or more guests need food that arrives hot, on time and in quantities that hold. We plan the buffet around your programme, whether guests eat before the puja or after the sparklers.
Family Diwali dinners at home
Hosting relatives and friends in Kastrup, Tårnby or Amager? Order from our menu for pickup or delivery within 3 km of Sirgræsvej 4, typically in 30 to 45 minutes, and spend the evening with your guests rather than at the stove. Order online or call us for a larger family order.
The menu
What a Diwali Buffet from Inder'n Looks Like
A Diwali table is generous, and ours reflects that. A typical buffet for 20 or more guests opens with vegetable samosas and pakoras with mint chutney, then moves to two or three mains, dal, basmati rice and naan baked to order in the tandoor. Many families keep Diwali vegetarian, so we build the menu around your guests: a fully vegetarian spread, or a mix with butter chicken and lamb rogan josh alongside the paneer dishes.
We grind our whole spices in-house and simmer every sauce from scratch each day, so the butter chicken you serve on Diwali is the same one our neighbours in Kastrup order on a Tuesday.
Butter Chicken
Tandoor-grilled chicken in a tomato, butter and cream sauce.
Lamb Rogan Josh
Tender lamb in a deep, spiced Kashmiri-style gravy. Holds well in a warming tray.
Shahi Paneer
Paneer in a rich cashew and tomato sauce with cardamom. A festive centrepiece for vegetarian guests.
Vegetarian
Dal Makhani
Black lentils and beans, slow-cooked and finished with butter.
Vegetarian
Chana Masala
Chickpeas in a spiced onion and tomato curry. Light enough to sit beside the richer paneer dishes.
Vegetarian
Vegetable Samosa
Crisp pastry filled with spiced potato and peas, served with mint chutney.
VegetarianDiwali catering starts at 150 DKK per guest with a minimum of 20 people, and takeaway mains cost 109 to 250 DKK. Our takeaway menu is savoury, with Mango Lassi as the sweet finish; for a catered buffet, ask about dessert when you book. See every dish and price on the full menu, or read about our vegetarian dishes in Danish.
From our kitchen
How We Cook Dal Makhani for a Diwali Table
Dal makhani rewards patience. We soak whole black urad lentils with a small share of kidney beans overnight, then simmer them slowly until the lentils break down and thicken the pot on their own. The finish is a tempering of ghee, cumin, ginger, garlic and Kashmiri chilli, then butter and a little cream stirred in at the end so the dal turns glossy rather than heavy.
For a buffet of 40 guests, that pot goes on early in the afternoon, which is why a final guest count a few days before Diwali helps us. Speed is not the goal on Diwali. Depth of flavour is.
